So it seems, Abbey , that you haven't been underpaid after all. Unfortunately there may be no big tax rebate to help boost your finances, so your focus now has to be on finding a full time job or a second part time job, and cutting back on spending including takeaways, nails, bottomless brunches and driving lessons for the forseeable future

Good luck with next week's interviews, Abbey. Try to line up as many as you can, for full-time jobs. All these months of half-time (if that!) work means it might be a shock to your system when you are expected to work 37 hours a week.

I really want to drive

Why do you keep bringing up old posts?

Have your finances improved now abbey- enough to be able to afford driving lessons? I know you had to repay your friend for the bottomless brunch and borrow some money off your mum  recently.

Question Author

Slightly maybe till I get full time job

Wait until you can afford driving lessons.

How many lessons did you have in a manual and how many have you now had in an automatic?

Question Author

I've had 5 in auto and about 20 hours in manual

Question Author

They don't earn much more than me

I don't know why you are bothering about driving lessons just now, Abbey? You obviously are not in a position to buy a car (which costs a packet to run) - would you be driving your father's car?

Question Author

No as he has a camper van and my mum is manual. I hate public transport especially in this weather

So the problems that made you switch from manual to automatic was it really just changing the gears you couldn't handle??

Question Author

Yes
