Hi, Susan.

I spent some time trying to find an answer to the Virgin Media question the other day.  All I could find was that Virgin Media actually use TWO cables side by side into people's homes.  One of them is a fibre optic cable (for the internet connection) but the other appears to be a regular copper-wired cable for the landline phone, which I suspect might well feed into the BT Openreach system locally.

I sometimes feel that I'm suffering from a plague anyway - a plague of cats, that is!
