Horror story
5 Answers
I was reading a horror story compilation a few years ago and it included a story whose name and author I have forgotten and it is driving me nuts!
Basically, it involved these odd "creatures" who seemed to appear overnight.... they were like rats, but where their tails would be they sort of ended flat. From what I gathered from the story they were sort of "milk bottle" shaped. They were very dangerous because they killed everything by leaping into its mouth (cat, human, whatever) and eating their way through. A bit like the things in Stephen King's "Dreamcatcher" but it wasn't a King story.
Has anyone read it???

The story I read was a SHORT story, and the creatures, as you say, appeared overnight. In the Laymon book, the creatures don't actually seem to feature that heavily; it is more about some serial killer bloke.
It is definitely a different story and it is still bugging me lol!
