If There Was Any Doubt Of Labour's Anti...

so I have plausible answers for many of the cryptics (15,17,18,24,27 across and all the downs but 1,7 and 21) but am at a loss about how to enter them, if a lot of them should be backwards could you tell me which ones, and give me a hint for the 'treatment of the other ones
For 1d read Ram as mar - therefore answer goes in the right way round, without manipulation
For 7d read evil as live and so answer goes in the correct way roundwithout manipulation
For 21d There isno clue word that is reversed therefore the entry is the answer backwards
Similarly for the across clues
26a tarts becomes start and so the entry is normal
1a trains becomes strain so the entry is normal
Where there is no word in the clue that needs to be manipulated, then you manipulate the answer before entry
You are most welcome, quinol!
I had the answer to 26a and for it to make sense "tarts" had to be "start". As the word in the clue was manipulated, it meant that the answer was inserted without manipulation. Initially I thought anagrams, for both across and down but having the J end a word changed my mind on that. I saw the word "Levon" in 11d (novel / anagram indicator backwards) and I tried putting the words in backwards for the down clues that needed manipulating. It worked.
It didn't work for the across clues though and so I looked closer at the clue words manipulated and saw that tarts just changed the last letter to be first, and similarly with trains becoming strain - then I was away!
Good Luck with it - it was a very enjoyable puzzle!
