What are people's opinions on the Firefox browser,? It seems to me to be slower than IE. Yeah it's fine being able to customise it etc, but what I want is maximum speed.

I like it alot, I reckon it's quicker myself. It doesn't seem as clunky as I.E

I like it .The tabs are very useful and I find it quite quick to use.if you dont like it , try other browsers though . I also use crazy browser -although it can be irritating at times. http://www.crazybrowser.com/

If you have just installed Firefox it may not be a fair comparison. Your copy of IE will have cached many of your favourite pages and images so we appear much faster.

Lighter, faster, doesn't suffer from hijacks, and it's not a liability security wise.
Less support due to idiot web designers and some progs rely on IE.. Can't think of any other disadvantages. While it would be great if everyone used a standards compliant browser, it basically boils down to personal preference. Give Firefox a few days though and you'll probably wonder how you ever got by without it.
