Depends what you use them for. Great for bathing babies, getting sand of feet. Good fo female hygiene if you use a moon cup

I've been wondering what a Biden toilet seat is for a couple of minutes! Do bidet's have a different type of seat than a loo?

It's one where the previous person to use it still thinks that he ought to be sitting on it ;-)

I thought you meant a seat to go over a bidet. Did you mean a toilet seat that has some sort of spray in it. Bidets don't have a spray. You just fill them with water and sit it it to wash your bum. At least that is what we do with the ones that are in all bathrooms here

they are seats that you fit on the toilet that have the ability to squirt your bum to clean it (see chris's link to the amazon version)

I think that one practical problem with the installation might be getting the electrical power to heat the water. The person who uploaded the video above to YouTube has included a note on it that the heater unit needs to be plugged into an electrical socket.

As electrical sockets (other than those solely for electric shavers, etc) are prohibited in bathrooms, that would either mean running a cable out of the bathroom to a socket on, say, an adjacent landing or (better) paying an electrician to hard wire the unit to the mains.
