Having said that, I went to St. Patricks' school in Collyhurst, Manchester. Are there any former pupils out there? Anyway, every St Patricks' day we had to wear a sprig of shamrock that was issued to all pupils, although I didn't need any because my grandparents always had a delivery from Ireland, so I had my own supply!
I might have a ride down to the Irish Club on Queens Road later and probably join in with the Fields of Athenry and others!
An Irish friend of mine went out as usual last year on St Patricks' night and when I asked him where he'd got to he said "Oim fkd if oi know!" Moi ya!
Thank you Hazlinny x
