hey nicey - adding a premium for a card was made unlawful a few years ago

EFTPOS ( electronic fund transfer at point of  sale) bombed in the eighties as the sellers excitedly added 25p or 50p to allow the transaction wh was a pain in the arriss anyway

No, I didnt say that at all, read the post for what is there not what you want to see.  I wrote" The problem is without tech you food shopping (and many other things) would cost an awful lot more"

They would, the retailers use tech for far more then taking your payment, even when you use cash the 'till' will be subtracting your purchases from the stock so they know what they have got.  Most now have auto ordering alongside.  The list of tech in retail really is endless.
