If you have a terminal illness, you need a signed form from a doctor confirming your prognosis.

If I felt that he was abusing a system that was set up to help those amongst us who are disabled then yes I would.

That's not the point anyway - maybe he got the allowance with those granting it in the full knowledge of his state of health. Hence my assumption that a doctor's note was all that was required.

Auntypoll, you don't need to prove you can't walk a certain distance - many people who get it can walk perfectly well but have other problems such as my associate with Thalidomide.

Blind people; people with at least 80% deafness and visual impairment; the severely mentally impaired or have severe behavioural problem all qualify provided they are at least 3 years of age and under 65 when you first claim.
