The new trainee doctor in last night's episode was wearing a nose ring. Is this permitted in hospital these days? Just interested

Yes.  The NHS policy is facial jewelry should be discreet, plain and flat

I wondered that - septum rings are horrible

Agree brainiac, they look awful.

yes - I am just thankful they dont go around in bikinis, in order to express their wokeness

Looking at what kind of doctor it is, it won't hurt a conventional therapist

The only thing I can't abide is tunnels, especially in the cheeks with open tunnels while they are eating.  Turns my stomach and I'm not usually tickle tummed

I know a trainee midwife who wears one. There are no rules against it.
