I've worked in retail for sixteen years and I'm sick of it. I'm considering working in a call centre, but I've heard it's a tedious job. I'm literally tired of standing around and picking up after people, so I long for a job where I can sit on my backside not doing much, LoL! Is working in a call centre really boring though?
If its cold calling etc, try to imagine all the abuse you will be getting and I dont think you will be earning much either also will not look good on any CV. Jumping out of the frying pan into the fire seems to come to mind
I think it depends on what type of call centre you work for. It can get a bit tedious but then so can most jobs. I work for a breakdown organisation on the phones but do it from home rather than in the call centre and it is alot more relaxed than when I was on site. It makes a lovely change having spend a long time in retail myself. It makes a difference that it is not face to face as well.
