please help with any suggestions for games quizzes and fun afternoons/evenings - I have screened horse racing and of course bingo and a general knowledge quiz but I am looking for something fresh and fun for over 50's - something seasonal and will involve everyone

Every member of the party is given some small strips of paper. On these they write a person alive or dead real or fictional. They can do as many as you like. The strips are then folded to obscure the writing and put into a bowl.
Form 2 teams and each member has 1min to give clues to his team for them to guess. Obviously you can't mention the name. The teams takes turns and the team with the most right answers is the winner. I've played with teams of quite varying ages and it is really addictive.
Good luck
