Wintry Weather Heading Our Way
News6 mins ago
I found out last night (when I was at a funeral) that one of my childhood football heroes died yesterday.
Leighton James, aged 71, was a Welsh winger making his first professional appearance for Burnley in the 70's at the age of 18. He played for several other clubs including Derby County, QPR and Swansea, before returning back to Burnley for his last spell.
I remember my dad taking me on Turf Moor ..... he immediately had an impact on me .... I even ended up following Derby County for a while when Burnley sold him to Derby.
I'm sure most people have some kind of childhood hero .... and Leighton James was mine.
R.I.P. :(

Sad news, he was a fine player. RIP Leighton.
