Labour's Sadiq Khan has conquered Whitehall by winning a third term as Mayor of London. Mr Khan won the contest with 1,088,000 votes Whilst his Opponent Susan Hall Con, only secured 813,000 votes.What a blow for the Cons.

Most of the candidates focused on ULEZ instead of saying what they would actually do. In the leaflet dropped through the door, one candidate said she wanted happy neighbourhoo ds. There are mayors and there are mayors. Directly elected ones who wield such political clout started in 2000 from what I found on the Net. They have much more power that previously appointed mayors. I have never seen any advantage to the nation for them to exist, they seem to simply follow their own agendas and force their strange ideas onto the public. It'd be better to do away with all such positions.
