But does anyone know if the losing team get to keep the money thgey have accumulated?  

Joel never say *you go home with xxxx*. Nor does he say *you leave with nothing*

They usually end up with several thousand in the cash pot.

If the remaining team fails to solve the last screens, within the time limit,  they also leave with nothing.
