For Our Cat Lovers . . .

The best thing about shopping in our local Tesco is the chance to meet Oscar.  He's everyone's friend and he's totally adorable!  (Don't tell my cats that I said that though!)

the hospital where my son works had its visiting feline - "Baxter". it was a regular staff job to return him to his own house, but he soon returned. Baxter didn't have enough presence to open the sliding doors so he used to lurk around A&E where there was always a good traffic flow.

The staff said "aww Baxter". The patients said "aww Baxter". the hospital management said "arrrgh! infection control!" and repeatedly had him evicted.....

I guess he has a home to go to but just parks himself in the trolley in case any free treats come his way?

Aww, he's just like my cat, Buen, only mine is a bit bigger..We used to have one sleeping in trolley at Tescos in Yate. A female cat called Molly. She was there for years and had her own fb page. 😃

There are a few peple, Mushroom25, who moan about Oscar being semi-resident at Tesco but they're very much in the minority.  

Oscar's definitely got a 'real' home nearby, Hazlinny, but he shelters in the warmth of Tesco's foyer in the winter and hops into a trolley in warmer weather.  I'm surprised that he ever gets any peace though.  No sooner had I stopped filming him yesterday evening, when he put his head down for a nap, when three women rushed over to make a big fuss of him.  He's got a constant flow of admirers all day long!

He's also very much like my own Tablo, Patsy.  (Totally sweet and 100% confident that he's the boss!)

Mushroom's story is cute too.  It is a pity that the hospital can't let the cat into some wards.

Some have one home, some have a couple of homes.  Many cats live on the streets (ie Turkey) but they are cared for and happy.  

Some just leave home in the morning, wander around a few businesses for a snack or comfy place to snooze.

They are experts at manipulating humans and for doing what they want when they want.

My mother's home has an extra resident and she doesn't have dementia - a ginger cat who theoretically lives close by but has adopted the inmates, staff and visitors.

I love cats. My daughter has two, Len, and Burt. Unfortunately we live by a road where plonkers drive by way too fast. I lost one to traffic years ago and wouldn’t risk it again.

One of my cats was killed by a car 3½ years ago, David, but I've still got three left and I wouldn't be without them.  They boss me around constantly but I still love them all!

Oh Oscar is a handsome and very confident boy. Glad that he is loved by other shoppers.

On a serious note, its not a good idea to feed someone else's cat as it may have medical issues or dietary needs that require specific foods or feeding times.

Also, if it's definitely a stray please see that it gets care along with food. Get it checked for a microchip. The rescue I got Toby from posts some very sad stories of the lives of some strays. Too sad to go into here.
