Wintry Weather Heading Our Way
News0 min ago
...was attempting to cross the road with a guide dog, at a pedestrian crossing. The car in front of me was first at the crossing, stopped to let the girl cross. The guide dog took a couple of steps, then, for some reason, stopped and sat down in the middle of the road. The girl looked very worried but the guy in front was shouting to her that it was ok to cross. She then pulled out a card that said "help" on it. The guy in front got out, then walked her to the pavement and pointed her in the direction she'd told him. Twas a bit baffling as to why the dog stopped in the middle of the road but it was nice to see the guy in front helping out. All was well in the end! 😊

and yes it is very difficult to countermand things in this situation.
I was crossing a road with a yellow dog, and I cd lip ead the passenger ( muvva I think- or perhaps wife) hitting the driver and screaming " Stop! Stop!" - there is no point in being run over saying - but the light as red
