How do i change wav to mp3??

Im using wave mp3 editor to cut the chorus out of a song i want to use as a ring tone but when i bluetooth it to my phone it wont play it...do i have to change it from wav to mp3??...if so how??

Audacity will do the conversion if you supply the lame dll, and it'll let you cut the music etc.

You may need to check what your phone accepts as ringtones - not all play mp3s.
