I love the autumn - days like today that are lovely in warm and you drop everything to go outside and enjoy it because it might be the last nice warm day for months! I love the chill mornings and the damp earth/mist/bonfire smell you get here in the country. I love the red/gold/bronze leaves against the bright blue sky.
yes i like that to...its a bit like making love to a beautiful women,,,,,the warm feeling you get,,,,,,and longer it goes on,you just wonna get ya coat and go home,,,
Autumn, all the tourists gone home, streets quiet and friendly again, places to park and tables in cafes, sunday papers still on the shelf at 10am, empty beaches and no litter, nothing but the sound of seagulls and boat masts...bliss...
Spring - i live on a boat, and the ducks getting frisky and chasing each other up and down the roof, is the first sign that winter is over.
The geese come back, the daffs come out, the nights start to draw out....cant wait....
Although it's close between Spring and Autumn, I'd go for Autumn.
I love it for the same reasons as Hellion - the colours, the damp woody smell - and I also like the colder weather where you can wrap up in a coat and scarf, and snuggle up in bed at night! If only it got lighter earlier , and it wasn't such a struggle to get out of bed in the mornings!
Autumn - walking through the leaves, wrapped up in a big coat and scarf (but it's not absolutely freezing like in winter) and the air is nice and crisp. Also it's the run up to Christmas - which I love more than Christmas itself.
Hiya Patricia, We live on the ouse in Huntingdon, Great life, would recommend it to anyone.
Have you got a narrowboat, or a tupperware tub (oops, sorry, shouldnt have said that lol) i mean a cruiser?
