If I'm on the phone and I say to the person on the other end, "Oh dear", he'll mimic me out loud in front of everyone. If someone else has a cough, he'll mimic the cough and throat clearing out loud, if someone else can't pronounce a word properly he'll mimic that, for example, a guy from South Asia who works in the office, can't pronounce the word 'hospital' and will instead say, 'aspital', then he'll mimic that out loud.
Why is someone so rude like that?
Many years ago, there was a guy who frequented my local who never called someone by their proper name. Steven became Stephano, for instance.
I was getting fed up of him calling me 'Kenji'. One day, me, my f-i-l and 2 friends were heading for the pub when we saw him stood outside smoking a cigarette. I was in a bit of a mood and i said, "If he calls me Kenji, i'm going to smack him one." Of course, my 3 companions all egged me on, daring me to do so - they didn't like him much, either.
So, as we entered the car park, he began his greetings. "Davido! Joeseppi! Georggio!.....then........................................Kenito!"
We left him wondering why the four of us entered the pub, splitting our sides laughing.
You and your colleagues ought to mimic the way he talks/acts/walks/whatever. He may get the message.
aunt poll - you have to get used to the rules being used ( swear word) the mods are allergic to wee-wee
and it s occurrence allows a mod to zap any post they dont like. I have pointed this out to the editor - who like the Post Office directors is blissfully unaware .. etc etc.
boop ! boop! - I think this is something people should put up with. No not the deletion - the mimicking to ones face.
I had an afro caribbean porter say: "and PP are we going rowing, and then having arndwiches on the lorrrrn?" - so he had to put up with my 'go' at Street Jamaican, they talk darn at breextarn.
