The Worst National Anthem?

Just watching the start of the England-Iceland game at Wembley as there is sweet f-all on any other channel - and heard the Icelandic dirge that sounded like six coffins were about to appear. Or maybe it was our rendition of it this evening?

The national anthem of Western Sahara isn't exactly 'tuneful' in my opinion!

The tune of the French National Anthem is rousing - but the lyrics are pretty gruesome.

This puts me in mind of the Billy Connolly sketch on the boring tune of our National Anthem and deciding to change it to the theme from The Archers, very funny. Don't get me wrong I don't have a problem our Anthem but the tune is a bit of a dirge

The UK anthem is a bit of a dirge truth be told.Why dont we just use it for stuff like the Olympics.The England team can use Jerusalem,the Welsh can use Land Of My Fathers,the Northern Irish can use Danny Boy,us Scots can use any Scottish song apart from that awful Flower of Scotland.Scots Wha Hae or Scotland the Brave instead?
