//Thousands of motorcyclists have arrived at the end of a mammoth ride from London to Cumbria to celebrate the life of Hairy Biker Dave Myers.

The TV chef died in February, at the age of 66, after he was diagnosed with cancer.

'Dave Day' has seen a huge remembrance procession of bikers journeying from the capital to Myer's coastal home town of Barrow-in-Furness.//

Fantastic tribute. Bikers joined in from the north and the east too, to be part of the gathering.

Couldn't agree more. A fitting tribute - and a very touching gesture.

Dave would go have been right chuffed.

A lovely man.

Must have been quite a sight to see them pay their motor-bike respects.  Just finished watching a repeat of his Route 66 foodie adventure with Si - lovely guy.

A great tribute to a much-loved & well-regarded gentleman.
