internet and networking

i have a 3 coms 12 port superstack router to which i am linking all my pcs around the house so they talk to each other,the problem is i have a bt voyager 205 adsl router to which i cannot get to work on it so that all pcs get access the internet,obviously i have a belkin usb to ethernet converter to plug into the router on one pc but it just doesnt want to see the adsl router,the main computer is linked via usb,any sugestions anybody,or do i need a completedly different adsl modem,many thanks for the answers i hope

Hi,
I have a BT router (I think its 205) connected to two Netgear Routers. I don't use the USB cable, mearly linking the nearest netgear router to the voyager router via the RJ45 cable. Depending on your operating system (I use Vista beta, Win2K and Linux) you might need to configure it to IP address 192.168.1.1

When you talk about the bt voyager adsl router, do you really mean the adsl modem? If so, you need an adsl modem+router in one (or just a modem with ethernet output).

then you could either just use the modem+router in one to connect all your computers, or if you have more than that you could get a switch and connect that to one of the ports on the router to extend it.

if you just have an adsl modem with ethernet output, then you can connect that to the router you have, and then all your computers to that router.
