(There are two meal-sized portions in a jar, or three snack-sized ones. Lovely on toast!)
I'm getting a delivery from Asda on Friday. I will give it a try.
Heinz 400g tins are £2.20 in my Express Tesco. I got them cheaper in Iceland.
I've just been watching a Vet programme. There was a lady Bullmastiff on it, she weighed just over ten stone. My first pup was a Bullmastiff/GSD and he was hitting nine stonfe. Imagine how much food they eat and poop.π
I like big dogs, Wolfie!
Most supermarkets are currently offering multi-buy deals on Heinz Beans and Sausages, as follows:
B & M, Tesco & Waitrose: 3 for £4.50
Iceland: 6 for £9.00
Morrisons: 3 for £4.00
Asda have the Branston's version at just £1.00.
Morrison's own brand are 99p. (I buy those occasionally. They're much the same as the Heinz product).
Aldi have their own brand ('Bramwells') at 57p.
Asda's 'Just Essentials' range includes Beans and Sausages at 48p.
I bought the six tins from Iceland.
I will try the Polish one and see what it's like.
Tesco Express may be just across the road but the prices are higher and the selection is disappointing.
I go through phases of eating the same thing for weeks on end. Beans on Toast is currently my favourite.
Iceland has a really good selection of ready frozen meals.
I'm off back to sleep. Say hello to the Management Trioπππππ
^^^ Tesco doesn't want to see the end of local corner shops, Jno, because the vast majority of them buy their stocks from Booker Wholesale, which is wholly owned by Tesco.
Some other corner shops trade under the 'Premier' name, which is simply the franchise-based retail arm of Booker Wholesale anyway and thus still part of the Tesco empire.
