Hi everyone - well, I thought as it's 2 years tomorrow (13th) since my lovely Lynne (Mamyalynne, in case you didn't know) left us, I'd start an old-style music thread in her memory.

Please, join in with anything you'd like to post - old, new, any style, anything!  The only rules are; don't have a pop at someone else's choice, stay on the topic of music & be nice to each other!  Lynne always wanted her threads to be a place where all tracks are welcome & if that leads to someone saying "Oh, that's new, I like it!", then all the better.

I miss Lynne every minute of every day & am always listening to her/my/our tracks, so I'll apologise in advance for posting the same things I've put up before.  Please, enjoy yourselves, have at it & let the good times roll! 💖 X

Hi, LIK.
So glad you've kept this going.
Here's my offering (LOL at 3.48am)

I seem to remember  Mamya enjoyed Pink Floyds music.

And the opposite end of the spectrum ....and my very favourite piece of music ....the very beautiful Coda at the end of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker. This always fills me with elation, gives me strength .....and the weird sensation that I can fly 🦅🕊

Love ya, mamya 🥰🥰

I should add, I don't have the first idea how to enter this, apologies....you'll just have to imagine it 😘

Sorry, it's now the Grand Pas de Deux - Adagio ( well it  was called the Coda back when I was studying ballet - and I have the T-shirt to prove it )

Seekz?

I remember Mamyalynne on the Q & P thread - lovely, intelligent lady. x

Many thanks, Jo - it's such a beautiful piece, and mamya was such a beautiful lady 😘

You're welcome, Steff xx

I can't believe it's two years since we lost Mamya. I can't post music so I would be grateful it someone would post ' We all fall in love sometimes' by Elton John. It's a beautiful song with an excellent version by Coldplay if you prefer. Thanks

Thanks for posting that for me Jo xx

You're very welcome, Margo. X

It's not a very well known EJ song but I really like it

😊 Thank you all for the lovely words & music!  Good to see you, JimF.

I apologise for not replying sooner, I've been listening to the tracks on here, along with many more & having a lovely time in my head with my memories.

Lynne often moaned about having...erm...too-big boobs (she had a slight & slim frame upon which they rested) & this track was always fun to play (she loved Brian's vocals) -

Sorry I couldn't join this lovely thread last night - way beyond my bedtime.

Don't think I'll ever forget Mamya, such a lovely lady.

This was probably the first track I posted when I joined in with her night thread.

Look after yourself, LiK.
