Last evening we had a non-dramatic, calming schedule.

Robbie Cummings with his Canal Boat Diaries; Secrets of the National Trust; Hotel Inspector.

We have a raft of series recorded to get us through the football.  Starting a repeat of Bletchley Circle tomorrow

Is there ever ?

In  my old age I seem to have switched from finding an interesting prog to finding something familiar to run in the background. That's easier given that it's 150% repeats these days. But even then the repeats get repeated again within days, which is a downer. (Channels must just be buying one series of something and then flogging it to death.)

Perhaps hop on any pay to view channels you have and keep your fingers crossed. Or check steaming websites for a greater selection. If it comes to it, there's a world of radio, both via airwaves or Internet, out there.

We've watched the first two episodes of a thriller entitled 'You' on Netflix.  Boy meets girl and becomes obsessed with her.  We will certainly watch on.

Been binge watching The Shield and just finished Mr inbetween.

Dip into BBC i Player.  We are fans of The Traitors with Claudia Winkleman and wondered how different the US version would be.  It is re-assuringly the same castle, same type of challenges and of course a different presenter in Alan Cumming who is so over the top it is brilliant.

However, what is different and really intresting on an observational level are the American contestants.  It gives a fascinating insight to the US attiudes and thought processes of these mixed menand women.  The only odd one out - not surprisingly is 'speaker' Bercow.

Well worth a look. It is series two on the i player.

Also, have a look on YouTube. Pick the category you would normally like best and see what's available. Same on i-Player, I suppose, as others have said.

The Traitors is good - particularly season two of the Australian version.  The Australians film theirs in a hotel in Australia.                                                                      .

I'm up to episode 7 of Traitors US, enjoying it very much but prefer the UK version of non-celebs

Read a book.

The best things on telly at the moment (depending on what streaming services you have):

Motherland

Ripley

The Twelve

Eric

Flicking aimlessly through channels is the worst possible way to decide on your viewing.

Without Radio Times, we would have missed so much worthwhile television...and streaming output ...and radio.
