Decided to watch a bit of this to see what I had been missing all these years.  Children must have been bored out of their skulls but suppose they'll have to get used to it as the rest of their lives are already mapped out. Won't bother watching in the future although the horses were magnificent.

Well I enjoyed it.

I thought it was very nicely done.  I did think they gave the Princess Royal a slightly flighty horse, but she demonstrated her expert equestrianism brilliantly.  I think she is fabulous.

But all in all I thought it was a cracking bit of pageantry.

We always enjoy watching this on TV, another event that marks the passing of the year.
