Did you ever see it there? Maybe you filed your answer under the wrong thread. I've made that mistake before.

The thread was about disappoinment in the post. I told about my dad receiving a letter from Canada in a large, official looking envelope which told him he was entitled to nothing under the will of a recently deceased, distant relative. Don't know what was wrong with that. I've looked briefly at a few other threads but I can't see it anywhere.

If it doesn't show as deleted, it wasn't.  Are you sure you posted it at all, or on that thread?  I've posted on the wrong thread before now, don't understand how it happened

The other day I replied to a post and I noticed after a few minutes my post hadn't appeared so I reposted. It's happened before and I think that I must have posted at exactly the same time as someone else and only one of the posts was processed by AB.

I've checked on my profile in all the threads that I posted in on Monday. It's not there. 😐

Even if a post is removed you can see on your profile that you posted on that thread.

Two thoughts.

 

Sometimes you find a post for one thread in a different one, and it's never 100% how it happened, but plausibly if you had used the back arrow, for example, a few times to reach the right page, and if your device, the Internet, or the server was being slow, you may end up posting on the page you know you aren't/shouldn't be on.

 

Alternatively, sometimes pressing the Answer Now button doesn't work. If you didn't check it had posted at the time that may be the cause.  One way it can occur is if you pasted rather than typed on the keyboard; apparently it's hilarious for the Answer Now button to ignore your response under those circumstances.
