Does Nobody Say Good Morning On Here Anymore!?

Where is everyone? I keep popping in and out, especially in the evenings but barely anyone is around anymore. Especially when I fancy a group hug lol. This was always the place to go! Well, I've needed one this last couple of weeks( long story) but never mind. 
Today have woken up to bright blue skies and this rare thing called sunshine!!

Well my window cleaner turned up on Monday morn - he's pretty impressive considering he's 80 and still driving round in his van, lugging great big ladders on and off his roof and then whizzing up them! So he obviously watched the daily weather avidly, and according to him we haven't had 7 rain-free days in a row in since last autumn! And every time he have a dry day he starts to count again. So it was dry here on Monday, which means today will be the 5th dry day - will we make it to 7!!  : )

Morning Barry! Glad to hear your ok. No 5 days so far for you then? Where abouts are you again? I'm London. Well, I can't name the last time we had even 5 rain free days which is nuts, but am enjoying it anyway. Let's see if we get to the magical 7 lol!

A stonking day beckons up  here in preston Smow. It will be a garden sitting day today followed by a bit of cricket  watching this afternoon.

My Gardener is coming today to cut the lawn . ( First time this year , due to all the rain we have had ) . It's like a mini jungle

 Morning Bazile! Just curious - what does your Gardner charge these days to cut your lawn? Is it an hourly rate, or just per lawn and that's it?

Good morning smowball. Things aren't the same on here are they. There are just a few of us though so we plod on. I miss gness a lot and sqad of course. I'm in Nantwich now. Moved here to be near to my daughter at the end of Covid.

Morning helly, no it isn't the same - but hey let's just keep trying?? I used to love the morning threads. Definitely miss Sqad -  nobody come even close to replacing his brilliant mind of information??

We have a very long back garden with  an hedge the length of it on one side 

The Gardner cuts the front lawn and pull up any weeds - cuts the rear lawn and the hedge .

Last time we paid around £ 80 . I'm expecting it to be more this time , because it's so overgrown.

Wow that sounds a long garden Bazile. How long does it take him to do all that? He must be so behind with jobs because of all this rain!

Brilliant sunshine here in SE Scotland. At least you've received some replies, Smow - most times GMEB receives none or only one or two. I think Wordle and Waffle are the places to be.  😀
