Now it's Angela Rayner coming out for Corbyn, a night after Keir Starmer wouldn't even talk about him.

Pity help us if we ever get this pair trying to run the country.

//“we’ve changed the Labour Party since then because we need a Labour Party that’s going to serve the British people”.//

Does she mean the Labour Party she campaigned so hard for in the past wasn't going to serve the British people?  Got to ask why she campaigned for them at all then.

The woman is a bad joke.

In 2019 members of Labour Party tried to help their party win election, but the Daily Express and some on here think this is surprising.

angela rayner clearly hates her boss lol and it is to her credit that she doesn't lie like he does about this question. he will get rid of her before too long after the election i think.

i like jeremy corbyn. i hope he wins in islington and gives these people a bloody nose.

//he will get rid of her before too long after the election i think.//

I wouldn't be at all surprised if she gets rid of him!

can't stand the awful woman but at least she's up front about what she'd like to see. She's Starmer's Prescott. I think he can keep her under control as the token red to keep the rest of the reds under the bed.

the party does have form in this respect,(q/v GLC), but for parliamentary process there's no role for a VoNC in the Labour Party. in order to trigger a leadership ballot there needs to be 20% of sitting MPs writing to central office.

mush that's for parliament. The party themselves could get shot but I doubt they would.

she doesn't have enough power or influence in the party to get rid of starmer. she's very much under his thumb.

If you are an MP you support your leader. Sometimes you get a leader that is duff, but for the sake of party unity, you support them.
I am sre many Conservative MPs knew that Liz Truss was dangerous and not up to the job, but failed to say so on her election. Likewise Labour party members elected a leader who the MPs didn't want. But they had to lump it until he spectacularly failed, and they could get rid of him.

Common as muck.

Meaning  ...  “we’ve changed the Labour Party since then because we need a Labour Party that’s going to serve the British people right. "

It will serve them right as well. The only way is to clear out the uniparty Augean stable, that is the house of commotions, is to bring in the new broom of Reform and sweep the stinking lot of them into the sewers where they belong. The 2 party, you scratch my back I'll scratch yours, system that is bringing the honest and dilligent people of the U.K. down to the base level that the politicians have made their own needs to be ended.

Imagine the "piece of work" Rayner being a representative of the citizens of the U.K. on a World stage!! What have we become? Contemptible creature.

^^^^ I agree. Reform the voting system, reform the HoL & get the politicos to align with parties they really believe in.

In short - RERFORM!

PS. Instead of the ones they see simply as a meal ticket!

that comment says more about you than her deskdiary. doesn't make you sound terribly clever.
