Barbie Rapunzel PC game won't work.

My daughter (5) has saved her pocket money for Barbie Rapunzel PC game, today I tried installing on my XP computer (2 years old) and even though the spec' states Windows XP it will not run. The message coming up is 'application cannot run'. It did install okay and I have changed the resolutions, etc, as suggested. The game will run on my old Windows 98 computer (about to expire very shortly!) but my sound isn't working on that so it's not so enjoyable for her! Many thanks for any help offered.

try this

right click the shortcut select properties

then click the find target button

right click the executable file (if you do view.. details it will be listed as an application) select properties

select the compatability tab and choose run this program in compatability mode for Windows 98
