It is the 21st prime number

If you multiply 7 x 3 you get 21

it's mirror 37 in the 12th prime number.

The binary for 73 is 1001001 which is is palindromic

I didn't think that I would make my current age of 60, there is no way that I can struggle on for 16 more years.

I was - and always will be - grateful to reach another birthday. Sadly many in my family and circle of friends did not attain 73 years. 

I believe the age we reach is not really so important but what we achieve in the time we are here. Carpe diem.

Four years ago, when I was 73, I met a group of Englishmen sitting outside an inn high in the Pyranees.  One of them told me he was 80 years of age.  He had a beaker of red wine in front of him and was hand rolling a Golden Virginia cigarette.

He looked to me to have been a man who had enjoyed a life well lived.
