I asked this alreadyin TV the realized I'd probably used the wrong category..

I'd like to wirelessly access a USB storage device on my TV to sync files/folders from my PC. Does such a USB device exist with 1Tb of storage. There is no access to rear of TV once hung on the wall and there is no date cable or HDMI cable access either so wireless or bluetooth is the only option

Do you use onedrive or equivalent? If so you should be able to log in to it on your TV. Then all the files will be available directly.

I can cast files from my pc to my Android TV - the files can be on any type of storage.

Is your TV capable of that?

Thanks to all so far, One Drive doesn't have enough storage without paying a hefty subscription thanks anyway it is a nice idea. Not sure my TV could access One Drive though! As far as casting goes..  yes I can aleady cast but when casting from PC to TV the audio is almost always out of sync. An HDMI cable would cure that immediately but can't use in new property we're moving to as the TV and PC are going to be in different rooms

I am assuming your TV does have a usb port.

Would a usb extender work in your new setup?

You can buy 1TB flash drives but they are very expensive and there are a lot of fakes about.  Would you consider an external SSD? Some are very small and discreet

You might be able to connect a hard disk to the router, and then access that from any device.

It would all depend on your router and devices.

Good point! I have a NAS connected to my router that my DVD player can access and my TV through the Plex app

Thanks all, currently looking into all suggestions, cheers

There are multiple ways to access PC content wirelessly on your TV. One of the simplest and most popular involves installing Plex on your PC. Plex has a free plan that works for this purpose.

Based on your description, your TV is a smart TV. If it is, the next step is to install Plex on your TV. Once Plex is installed, you can immediately enjoy your PC content.
If you can't install Plex on your TV, you can purchase and install Plex on an Android TV Box (It plugs into the HDMI port) or use DLNA. The video below describes how to use DLNA.

I have now installed Plex on both my TVs and linked them to my PC. All works perfectly and with no need to add any TV storage. Hard to believe a free app works this well. Many thanks to "barry1010" and "Psalm Equipt", I hadn't heard of Plex before their posts. Cheers guys, it just shows the "The AnswerBank" works!

LOL, undercover spam at its best for Plex🤣

Glad you're sorted, camioneur.

Hardly qualifies as spam in this case if they delivered info on the product I need wouldn't you say? Being a very rare visitor to this site I wasn't aware there was a spam issue but will bear it in mind in the future. Cheers Barry!

It's just ozzy having another unnecessary dig, camioneur.   You don't notice the real spam on this site because the mods quickly delete it.
