We don't have wheelie bins and all waste has to go to a hub outside Tesco. I need to at least double bag the rubbish to make sure it does disintegrate on the way across the road.
I stored some items in plastic carriers in the loft a few years ago. When I went up to retrieve them the bags had completely degraded to tiny pieces of fluff.
My brother bought two pairs of slippers in a sale and put one pair away in the wardrobe. The soles were just a pile of 'ash' in the bottom of the shoe box when he next opened it. The ones he had been wearing just had normal wear.
