Nintendo 64 saving games

My daughter has a Nintendo 64, and she enjoys the games on there very much. However she can't save any of the games where she is up to like you can on the more modern consoles. Is there an add-on which will allow her to save the level she is on, in a particular game? There is something called an expansion pack, but I think this only gives more memory on the memory-hungry games? Can anyone help please?

mmmmmmm.....Im not 100% sure as I have not seen a N64 for a long time but fi i rememeber rightly there was some sort of external Memory card you could buy, but not sure, best thing go into a 2nd hand games shop they will know or check ebay. and N64 stuff has been discontinued so eBAY and 2nd hand places are your best bet.

The expansion pack does not add any type of memory. There are some games that need a memory card that gets plugged into the bottom of a controller.
