years ago i had a film, cant remember what it was called cos thats what im asking... hmmm. anyway it had a golden retriever, boxer dog and persian cat in it. they ran away to go find their owners but got vaught by rangers, then escaped and went home, obv a bit more dramatic than that but still, thats the basics. anyway just wondering if someone knows the name of it? think it was something like long way home?? oooh i dunno. anyone have any clues? thanks

Sounds like the Incredible Journey. There have been a couple of versions.
In the latest version the animals were given "voices" a bit like look who's talking.

Homeward bound had the white boxer. The incredible journey was the original with Bodger the english bull terrier, the retriever and the siamese cat. It was narrated as opposed to Homeward bound in which Michael J. Fox did the voice of the boxer. Both wonderful films but the incredible journey is the winner for me.

Homeward Bound - I recently bought my son this film on DVD and also the second one that was made. He really loves it.
