Just a quick question to see if im correct in a recent answer i posted.

While working at a telesales company (of sorts) - not cold calling...i could never do that...anyway...

i was told that it is now illegal for UK based companies to phone with a withheld number - is this true?

Also that those based are abroad become 'exempt' from the telephone preference service laws and this withheld number 'law' (if im correct in saying it exists)

I'm not sure about the 'law' regarding withheld numbers. If a company has it's base in UK but uses call centres from abroad they still have to abide by tps rules. Hope this helps.
as far as I know it is an offense to knowingly call someone who is on the TPS List, I have been on the TPS list for years and dont get that many cold callers ringing me up.

But when they do they get an earful.
