oh yeh it's expensive. 30 or 40 grand a year. it's less if you learn in state because of taxes but unless you live there it's v expensive. there are lots good unis in the UK i'd opt for them
Stay in Uk for Uni, America is very expensive. There are scholarships and loans but finding one isn't easy. The repayment for most loans start on the day after you receive it. So you will need a job or rich sponsors. Living by a Uni is not cheap either. I don't think it is hard or half the people who go wouldn't actually get in. Try and google Universities and go to the web sites. They should give the tariffs. Which school you choose depends on what you want to do.
Firstly, Ill assume youre asking about a first degree rather than postgrad. Secondly, all university education is expensive and some studies actually conclude that a US degree leaves a UK graduate with less debt than a UK degree, perhaps because the cost of living is considered to be cheaper.

A US university experience is becoming more and more popular, particularly for high quality UK students who are no longer guaranteed a place at a good uni in the UK because of this ridiculous quota system the government have introduced to ensure kids from state schools get to go to uni even if theyre not really bright enough.

These websites should get you started.

However, the approach should be the same as if you chose the UK. Work out what you want to study. Then find out where you can do the course. Then research those places in more depth and do a comparison.

Good luck.
The cost of a 4 year degree in the U.S. can range upward to perhaps $60,000 per year or more at the major, name brand Universities... especially the Ivy League schools and others. However, smaller, perfectly acceptable and well qualified schools can provide the same education for under $5,000 per year. These are located in smaller towns and are State supported schools. Especially, here in the western U.S., the Land Grant Act (the Morrill Acts of 1862 and 1890) provided funding to at least one school in each state. Many of the schools offer post graduate degrees, and many offer degrees in law and medicine. They are usually somewhat easier to get into, as well. Most western states have Junior Colleges , which offer 2 year or Associate Degrees and are often used by students to help them prepare for more the more difficult courses. These can provide education for as little as perhaps $3,000 per year. I have many friends that have done well with degrees from such institutions (my own education in Geology was at such a school, which has become one of the most respected schools of geology in the nation)...

Thanks everyone. I was just wondering aswell, would I have to take some sorts of tests or anything like that?
Possibly. Depends on the admissions procedure for the place you want to study. Time to do some research.
