The opera at Glyndebourne for me, just fabulous.  The beautiful gardens, the lake, so many staff ready to help you and other visitors equally  polite and respectful.  Going again soon, my second outing of the year.  Yippee!

That's a popular opinon, but arguably Liam just as important to the sound of Oasis. If you listen to the Unplugged session that Noel did on his own, you can see just how much Liam contributed vocally.

Liam's vocals on Slide Away, Stop Crying Your Heart Out, Morning Glory, Wonderwall, Some Might Say and especially Acquiesce are very..."goosebumpy".

Went to see The Elixir of Love by Donizetti at Glyndebourne last summer.

I wouldn't mind giving opera a try, but Glyndebourne is out of the question.

I first tried ballet 10 years ago and fell in love with it immediately. I now regret not discovering it 70 years ago - all that opportunity missed.

I do like the music from Carmen.

I had a very brief exposure to La Boheme many years ago when I first went on the internet, and I encountered an online encyclopaedia which had a tiny excerpt from La Boheme, only about a minute or two, the duet (is it called that in opera) when Mimi is dying, and it set the hairs on the back of my neck on end, not just once, but every time I played it. Amazing.

Puccini has that effect on me too.  There's one duet that has me in floods of tears - and it's not even sad!  I absolutely adore his music.
