F A O Nailed It.......
Just thought you'd like to know, I am going on the wagon for a month starting now. I invite you to join me and maybe kickstart your own campaign. I've had too many boozy sessions of late and I've decided to knock it on the head for a month, maybe longer. 😉

19:36, no I am not an alcoholic but I could do with a detox, getting fitter maybe lose a few pounds. I do it every now and again just to make myself feel better really and my body seems to know when to get me on the wagon. I don't drink every day anyway, I have a spreadsheet where I mark all kinds of things and one of them is booze free days. So far this year 37% of days have been dry. My record is 22 dry days in a row, I'm hoping to beat that with at least 30 this time.
Thoughtful post TTT. Nails get your head sorted mate. I don't send much on your threads in case the Stokie in me rises up and tells you straight. You know what I mean. Good decision on your part TTT, when younger I have done it myself. At nigh on 77, I will not be going TTT -1 (or TT) any time soon. Like others I would rather enjoy less than suffer more life if that is what it takes. I do not, and never have, drink to get wrecked anyway and do enjoy a pint of good cask or a glass of wine. I save the whisky for the colder months.
Thank you PP.
//am sure Nailedit appreciates it too//
Absolutely.
//and he has tried his absolutely best to explain his situation / addiction with alcohol to help us best understand.//
Well, its 5:30 in the morning, just woke up. Sweating my bag off, trembling, heart racing, dry reching etc.
Had to crack open a can of 9% lager just to start my day.
Hate been like this....
Really appreciate 3T's post but I simply cannot just stop drinking without medical assistance (inpatient detox with medication)
