U2 v Oasis

Hopefully U2. They have had many great songs and albums and I can't stand Oasis. They have had a couple of decent songs sung by Noel. But Liam is just annoying

U2? Really? They only had the two Best of albums and DVDs a couple of years ago.

Even though I think they're one of the least interesting bands ever, I'd have thought Oasis' would do better simply because it's their first.

Theyve changed their tune ! Years ago they said they would never release one now they are on their 3rd !

I agree Oasis will sell more but U2 are my fave band.

I think it will be Oasis, because a lot of people will have one or both of the recent "best-of"s.

I'm glad that Oasis have been selective with their 'Best of'- rather than merely being a compilation of all their singles, it features B-sides and album tracks, and omits some of their lesser singles. I certainly hope they get to number one.

Because if not, chances are they'll both reach number one......And deservedly so in my opinion.......

oasis, its a fantastic collection of songs and im only partley intrested in the newer u2 music, deffinatley

Hopefully oasis - absolutely fab band - loved them since they first came out - both liam and noel are the biz - if none of them were, they wouldn't have the millions of die hard fans all over the world!! Love U2 tho...think it will be a close call - but I would rather buy "stop the clocks"....

There's about a week between the two releases, with Oasis' "Stop The Clocks" coming first.

Funnily enough, I thought Noel Gallagher said Oasis would never put out a Best Of unless Oasis were finished. I can only hope.

U218 is indeed a contract breaker, but I'll buy it if it features some non-album singles, "A Celebration", "11 O'Clock Tick Tock" etc.

I'm going to be controversial and say neither. But even I think I might be wrong.

its the record label putting it out Oasis didnt have anything to do with the decision originally - I love Oasis and think it will be them that reach number 1 - I find U2 bit boring although they are obviously a great band as well also Oasis are releasing acquiesce as a single as well so that should help as fantastic song especially live
