Can you move your WiFi hub, just a few feet could make all the difference.

I have this, it works well

This is another option, very easy to set up and very reliable.  Plug one in to your hub and the other in your bedroom

I have one of these and it's perfect. Less than £20. You simply plug it into a power point and you're away.

Does yours connect to devises by WiFi, Maydup?

Yes, I either log in to the Wi-Fi or the Wi-Fi extender depending on which room I'm in.
it's a small cottage so similar in size to an apartment I expect.

Good, it's very similar to mine except I can still use the plug socket for other things with mine.  Never enough plug sockets in this house

Barry would this help to use Alexa in my summerhouse. Sometimes I have a signal but mostly not.

You can get maydup's suggestion with a passthrough mains just like barry's but with UK socket. I have a couple and they just cost a couple of pounds more for the passthrough.

Yes, mine has a UK socket.  I don't know why my link is showing a de ifferent one.  I bought mine from Amazon
