Why is it no longer possible to post a question on either of the above categories?

Remember   ...  the text box for answers, or the carry on from the subject titl,e does not open until the "Enter your question title here" is filled or engaged with a click or touch on a touch screen.

Got it. 

If you select Editors Blog there's no Question bOx.

But if you start by clicking on any box that says 'Enter your question title here' you can ask a question and then select the category (including Ed's Blog)

I've been trying to contact the editor for a few days regarding something. I have'nt bee able to put it on the public site but no one replies to the email address. Is there any way to make a post on the editors blog private?

You found a box to ask this question! What happens if you do the same again but select Editor's Blog instead of Chatterbank

Barry- you can ask questions directly from some categories- eg Chatterbank. So I think that's how AP posted this.

thanks newmodarmy, you are correct, when I followed your instructions I can now ask a question on the eds site -unfortunatley I've forgotten what I was going to ask . 😂

Err only after a "question" has been posted. If you want to post a new thread you need to open the dialogue box. As I stated @17.22.
