7d and 17d look  okay if there's a superfluous letter in each clue- and if Mel is a word for type of honey

Thanks, newmodarmy and NACW! In my parsing, I saw “innermost layer of  an organ” for 7d( INTIMA),17d “MEL” latin for honey, and for 26d, the former African capital HARARE minus A and R.
