Does anyone remember that guy who used to be at the beginning of videos (films) explaining the meanings of age restrictions. Eg: PG, 12, 18, 21.... He had big glasses and black hair that always looked like a wig.... I reaaly want to know his name. But any clues would be a help! x

Simon Bates, ex Radio One DJ.
I think he's now on Classic FM. Even before Radio One entered it's 'Smashie And Nicey' phase, he was the terminally uncool 'housewives' fave' with his deep voice, and 'Our Tune' sobathon. Personally i found his loathsome patronising 'This is all a bit below me...' attitude too awful to endure, and his constant references to spending the weekend on New York, and playing great records and never telling people who they are, and so on, and so on. but don't worry his pompous demenour and patronising attitudde has been handed on - to Simon 'I've got a degree you know' Mayo.
