Car Washer Jets Problem

2009 Hyundai i30.  The washer was working at all.  The bottle was full but I put my finger in it to agitate it a bit.

The water now does come out but now the spray is weak and not as high as it should be.  The jets are not adjustable.  I've poked down the jets, no difference.

Any ideas?

Remove the pipe from the reservoir and blow air through to see if there's a blockage

Will do, thanks, Douglas

Washer bottles can be home to slime-forming bacteria. The slime then blocks the tubing, filter, jets etc. If that's the cause, it can be a pain to clear often needing the whole system to be removed. Just an idea...but it happened to me years ago in a nearly new car and the dealer sorted it out.

Checked for leaks elsewhere ?

Same problem here on the driver's side. Looking at replacement nozzle.

Lucky if you can see the pump, we've a Tiguan, last year the screenwash packed up front and rear, can't find a blown fuse, can't see the pump or reservoir, only the filling tube is visible. Take it to the local garage who does the service anyway, pump has packed up and it's clever design means it spins one way for the front and the way for the back. New pump £17. Labour to dismantle to get at the pump, £100 plus vat. One front wheel and inner wing plus the under belly plate to remove and refit, he told me there are worse ones, where the whole front of the car has to be removed.
