My boy used to sleep soundly until he heard the guy who delivered our newspapers turn into our street and he would wake up quickly and start barking.

While that is part of the benefit of having a big dog protecting me it wasn't appropriate at 0430hrs.

There must be many husky dogs out there! 😁

I once had a wee dog that would bark at horses on the telly, nothing else.

If I wanted to watch the Grand National Missy had to go into the parlour.
