I bought a Casio scientific programmable calculator in 1978 and still use it most days. It's teh most useful little gadget ever. (I use it to calculate the trajectory of my Space Hopper after it collides with the Chopper Bike!)
Our two daughters are both in their 30's now, but we still have the big orange space hopper they shared, which has never needed inflating! Also a big fluffy Rod Hull 'Emu' that the youngest one pestered the life out of us for! Our Grandchildren now play with them!
My father has a Casio calculator in either the late 70's or very early 80's that had a game on it - when you pushed certain buttons in a certain order it played 'whe the saints come marching in' - eat your heart out xbox. Also I had a Rayleigh Grifter in the late 70's and any man will remember the lethal 2nd gear, slip gear, which has always caused me to wonder how many men are out there in the world, are now sterile because of this!
I bought the casio keyboard (mini..about 1foot long) as seen in that german hit song Ich Liebe dich!!! also have some stripey woolen tanktops and lots of afro combs from my perm period, and a three in one music system in the attic....to have a three in one system in the 70s was just it!!!! (around my area anyway)
a copy of The Zen Guide to Motorcycyle Maintenance, Stranger in a Strange Land, and Papillion....my sister has her Man From UNCLE club badge ......hated Thrush
Does anyone remember the Stylophone which was advertised by Rolf Harris, I got one for christmas one year, but I broke it in about 2 weeks.I also still have photos of me sitting on the chopper bike, wearing the most hideous flared denims and a tank top.
