As a non-religious person, I don't believe in Astrology either, but it does make some sense why earlier cultures did. At least they had something solid to support their believe, not just faith. The sea tides must also have been very puzzling for them.

I was a believer... in there being a God, but I've always been a complete non believer of the joke called astrology.
Probably something to do with the massive distances of the stars involved.

Could they do me 10000 words on Atheists & Astrology? ^^^
Atheists are not necessarily against astrology. In fact, many people who do not believe in God have been known to use astrology to predict their future. However, they tend to look at it from a scientific perspective rather than believing that it can actually tell them what will happen in the future.

Astro; What do you make of this stuff about AI enabling a computer to generate rational sounding and often quite plausible dissertations about various matters of science, society, aesthetics and other such topics?

Atheists generally don't believe in astrology, as it is based on spiritual and metaphysical concepts that are not scientifically proven. Astrology suggests that celestial bodies influence human life and personality, which contradicts the atheistic perspective that relies on evidence-based reasoning and rejects supernatural influences. While some atheists might find astrology interesting or culturally significant, most view it as a belief system without a scientific basis.
