Broken Shoulder.

Did this on Tuesday morning, broken in two places. I have never known such pain. Can't even visit the loo without struggling. Every move hurts even if I'm not using that side of my body. How the hell am I going to manage for the next few weeks?

thankfully I can get a roast dinner delivered tomorrow. This is the first time I have been glad of predictive typing on my iPad.

My sympathies to you ferlew, though it's of small comfort.
I too badly damaged my left shoulder. Doctors were of no help. Time, and rest will eventually ease things. I found that a hot bath helped me. Too early for you at this juncture. You really need some help with this situation. Could your doctor suggest anything?

Your doctor should be able to sort out temporary adult care, I think you can get 3 weeks free. At least that was what my mother was told.

They came in and helped her wash and dress and prepare food when she had sciatic pain

That must be awefully grim for you, not ever done that myself no idea how long it'll take to heal although six weeks was mentioned, I wish you a speedy recovery and all the best to you Ferlew.

Really sorry to hear about your accident, ferlew...been trying to think what you can do to make things easier:

ready meals from the supermarket are good, just put them in the microwave/oven.Using one of those "grabbers" to pick up things instead of bending or stretching can help. Leave things to go upstairs at the bottom until you go to bed (these are all things I did when I was on crutches after a hip op). Hope this helps 😊
